Welcome to the Family Shrub
Times are changing. I guess that happens continually, but I really feel it lately. It gets harder and harder to stay connected with the people you care about because so many of us don’t live closer together.
Everyone is so spread out! We have family in California, Alaska, Texas, Virginia. We don’t see one another nearly as often as we would like.
The other day, I was looking at some photos on Facebook. I saw a couple of pictures of Sarah, and it tok me a while to realize it was her. She has changed SO MUCH since I have seen her last.
Then I started thinking about how much my children have changed since most of the family has seen them.
Facebook is wonderful, but as far as staying in touch, I started to think that a different format might make it easier for us to keep in touch.
In an effort to stay connected, we thought a family website would be a great idea. I am hoping in the days, months, and years to come, we can all have a place here. We can all post photos and talk about what we are doing. It will be a source for email addresses (which seem to be constantly changing) and birthday lists (which I have a hard time keeping track of).
I hope all of this will make it a little easier to stay in touch - and I hope it will make it seem like there is a little less distance between all of us!
In An Effort to Stay Connected...
There are two ways to proceed. One is to click on a family name or a photo below. Both the Stewart and the Seitz families are represented here. Click on the name of the family that you want to peruse. That will take you to a family unit page for that person. You can proceed follow the family tree that way. In going through this website in that way, you will go from one family unit page to another family unit page. These pages are different from the pages of individual people. I thought it would be easier to follow the family tree in that way.
The other way to proceed is to scroll down to the lower part of this page. Click on the name of the person you are interested in looking up. Doing that will take you directly to that person’s individual bio page page. From there, you can jump to photos that person has submitted. Have fun! And PLEASE - remember to send in photos, blog entries, and updates to your page from time to time - not just for yourself, but for other people as well.
We also have a blog page. Please send in submissions. We have a couple of blog entries already up and running.
If there is someone missing, please let me know. I hope to add many more branches of the family tree to this family shrub very soon.
